How to Create a Free Blog on BlogSpot-pro blogging tips

Having a blog is a good thing because you can share whatever you want (… and if you are smart you can earn the right amount for your blog).

Here at ShoutMeLoud, I have written about many blogging platforms that you can use to create your own blog. I often suggest creating a blog using your domain and hosting, and building your blog with WordPress (.org).

However, many newbies who want to start blogging do not want to make the money to start a blog. This makes perfect sense.

There are many blogging platforms that empower users to create free blogs. If you are looking for a simple free blog, my suggestion would be to start blogging with WordPress.com or BlogSpot.com.

Once you have the experience of blogging, you can develop and become an expert with a personalized blog.

BlogSpot allows you to create a free blog, but it has its limitations.

However, as I said above, first is a great way to learn how to build a blog and start the blogging process.

This post is dedicated to new "beginners" who are on the blog and would like to get started by learning the basics involved in this process.

Before I start the study completely, there are a few things you should know:

First of all, BlogSpot is a blogging platform powered by Google. It gives you the opportunity to start a blog, but all your photos will be hosted by Picasa (also part of Google). BlogSpot is, in this sense, a Google-centric blogging platform.
Secondly, if the purpose of your blog is to make money and to have a blog that looks good, I recommend that you create your blog using WordPress. It's easy, and with the help of our free WordPress guide, you can create your own blog in the next 60 minutes.

Step by Step to Create a Free Blog on BlogSpot:
To create your free BlogSpot site, go to BlogSpot.com and sign in using your Google account. If you do not have a Google account (gmail), you can create one for free.

For the first time, you will see an option to use the ID from your Google Google profile, or you can use your restricted BlogSpot profile. I recommend using your Google Plus profile.

Once logged in, click on the "new blog" or click on this link to go directly: Create a free blog

Mention your blog:

The first thing you need to do is enter a name and choose your domain. I suggest you read "How to Choose a Domain Name" for more details.

Avoid using your personal name as a domain name, and instead use a custom domain name that you can mark with a custom domain.

You can then select a blog template (you can change it at any time), and then click on "Create Blog".

Your blog has now been created, but it is not yet complete!

There are a few settings you need to set for your newly made BlogSpot blog to make it easier to use.

You are now in the BlogSpot dashboard where you will see bookings for your blog. From here you can go to "Settings" and make changes to improve the visibility of your blog.

Here is a screenshot of what you should see:

From here you can click on "Posts"> "New Posts" and start writing more posts for your blog!

But before you write your first post, I recommend you go to "Pages" and create at least one "About" page that explains who you are and what your blog is about.

You can read my post on why you need a "About" page for your blog.
Most importantly, you should change your blog template because the default ones are unusual and tedious (in my opinion).

Here is a list of free BlogSpot templates that you can download and add to your blog. Alternatively, you can go to "Settings"> "Template" and change the template there.

On this page, you can also add a logo to your BlogSpot blog header, and add or remove various other features.

Once you have a few blog posts and functionality, you can go to "Settings"> "Discovery" and enable AdSense for your blog. This will allow you to earn money on your free BlogSpot blog.

Read my first guide on how to sign up for
an AdSense account.

So your blog is almost ready and you can start writing posts. There are a few things I suggest you do.

I cover these items in the video tutorial below.
